Safe Sleep Spaces
Cribs for Kids partners with local programs to provide safe sleep education and portable cribs. All partners provide safe sleep education for parents and caregivers, and many provide portable cribs to those who qualify. https://cribsforkids.org/our-partners/
211Info is a referral and information system which has information about many different community resources, including free baby furniture and supplies. You can visit 211 online, call 211, or text "health" or "salud" to 898211. Some of the organizations listed in their database may include:
Babies In Need (Vancouver)
Love Inc of Benton Co.
Love Inc of Clackamas Co.
Tom Sargent Safety Center
When you begin searching for items, keep in mind that organizations who offer free baby furniture and other baby items may be religious or anti-abortion groups. The Safe Sleep Coalition recognizes that these organizations support our local communities in many ways, but the Safe Sleep Coalition is not affiliated and does not endorse these organizations.
Use caution when receiving any used baby furniture or baby items. Check the Consumer Product Safety Commission for recalled items. https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls
